How Payments Are Processed

All online payments are processed through Stripe, our secure payment gateway.

Payment Flow

1. Pet owner enters payment details using the Stripe checkout widget (or selects an express option if available).
2. Stripe encrypts and securely transmits the payment data.
3. The bank processes and approves the transaction.
4. Funds are transferred to complete the purchase.

Important: DocuPet does not receive or store credit card details at any point.

Saving Payment Methods

Saving a payment method is always optional and requires action from the pet owner.

• Pet owners are presented with an option to save their payment method during checkout or in account settings.
• If they do not select this option, the payment method is used for a single transaction only and is not saved.
• If they choose to save it, Stripe securely stores the payment method for future use within DocuPet.

Pet owners can manage saved payment methods at any time.
