How To Use The Alternative City Names Tool

Overview:

Within your Organization, there may be multiple cities encompassed within the overall licensing jurisdiction. For instance, a Pet Owner residing in Toronto might have an address listed as 'North York'. Although North York is part of Toronto, it is recognized as an alternative city name. By incorporating these alternative city names into the tool, the system then recognizes which Organization/licensing jurisdiction they belong to and allows Pet Owners within them to license their pets.

How-To:

1. On the main dashboard, scroll down to Data Management / Administration and click on “Alternative City Tool”
   

2. From here, click “Add New City”.
   
   
   
   
3. Type in the city name that you would like to add. Your Organization name will be auto-selected. Please ensure the correct spelling of the City name.
   
   
    
4. When you’ve finished, click on “Submit”.
   
   
   
   
5. The City name will now be in the Alternative City Tool and will automatically tie addresses in that City to the appropriate Organization.
