Temporary License/License Extension Communications Overview

Overview:

Our temporary license and license extension emails are sent to Pet Owners based on the partners program and if documentation proof is required when licensing.

Pet owners may receive these communications for two primary reasons. The first reason is when pet owners choose not to provide the required documentation (such as rabies or spay/neuter proof) during the licensing process. They are given a specific window of time to submit the necessary documents before their license is considered expired; this timeframe is custom  depending on program requirements and can be adjusted at any time. This email serves as a reminder that their license is still in a temporary status and they must provide the required documentation for their license to remain valid for the full term purchased.

The second reason applies to License By Rabies communities, where the rabies expiration date on file is expiring before the license expiration date. This email reminds pet owners that they must provide updated rabies proof to extend their license to the full term purchased.
