The Document Verification System (DVS) is a tool used by administrators to review, approve, or reject documentation uploaded by Pet Owners that supports specific pet license types or exemptions. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that pet owners meet all necessary criteria for licensing.
How it works:
Verification of Proof Documents
When a Pet Owner uploads proof documentation for review and proceeds to purchase a license, that license will reflect on the administrator side of DocuPet with a status of ‘incomplete’ while the proofs are awaiting review.
The Pet Owner's account (from the Pet Owner's side) will reflect the license as 'waiting for for your licensing organization to review proof documentation.
Admin Review Queue
When a user submits a document during the licensing process, it enters a pending queue in the DVS, where admin staff can:
View the uploaded files
See relevant license details
Approve or reject the documentation
Leave internal notes for tracking or audit purposes
Automated Status Updates
Once a document is verified or rejected:
The system automatically updates the license status.
If rejected, the pet owner is notified and prompted to resubmit valid documentation.
If approved, the license enters an 'active' status.
