Overview:
The Administrative Users tool within DocuPet allows you to add new users, edit permission levels, and remove users' access to the system.
How-To Steps:
1. On the main dashboard select “Administrative Users”
2. On the right side of the screen, select “ADD A NEW ADMINISTRATIVE USER” On the main dashboard select “Administrative Users”
3. Fill in all of the required fields marked with an asterisk. This includes:
Name
Email
City
Vendor
Create Password
4. You will need to click on your Organization in order for the Vendor options to populate. If this administrator will be selling licenses, you can give them access to multiple vendors or select a default option. This will be reflected in all DocuPet reporting and remittance.
5. If a new vendor needs to be created for this user, contact the Administrative Support Team at support@docupet.com after creating the administrator account. You can select any vendor for now, and the DocuPet team will reassign them the newly created vendor.
6. Next you will need to select their permissions. If you are unsure which permissions are appropriate for the new admin, you can reference the Administrative Permissions Overview article.
7. Once permissions are selected you will need to create a temporary password for the new administrator
-
Passwords must be 14 characters in length and are case-sensitive.
- *As a best practice, use the new users' email address.
-
Once the administrator accesses the account for the first time they should reset their password via "Account Settings".

8. Once completed, select “Save” at the bottom of the screen, the new administrator is now set up with a DocuPet administrator account and can login at:
- US: manager.docupet.com
- CA: admin.docupet.com
Important Considerations:
- Once the city has launched, it is the partner organization's responsibility to manage and maintain user access to DocuPet.
- When adding a new Administrator Account, you can only give a new Admin the same or less permissions as your own Administrator Account. You cannot give a higher permission level than you yourself hold.
- Check out our Administrative Permissions Overview article for additional information regarding which permissions are appropriate.
- The Rep Code and Colour Code fields are specific to Canvassing and may be left blank if you are setting up an Administrator who does not need access to Canvassing.
