Reviewing Order Summary, Receipts & Statuses

Overview

The Order History section of a Pet Owner's profile allows administrators to review order statuses, access order summaries, and reprint receipts when needed.

This information can be helpful when answering questions about order progress, delivery timelines, payments, licenses, tags, and other purchased items.

Step 1: Locate the Pet Owner Account

  1. Open the Pet Owner Record Search tool.
  2. Search for the pet owner using their name or other identifying information.
  3. Click on the pet owner's name to open their profile.

Step 2: Access the Order History

On the left-hand side of the Pet Owner profile, locate the Order History section.

Here, you can view all orders associated with the account, including their current status and order dates.

Selecting the Order Summary option will open the order details, where you can review:

  • License and renewal details.
  • Additional fees and penalties.
  • Tag purchases and customizations.
  • Payment method and amount collected.
  • Order status and fulfillment progress.

Understanding Order Statuses

Each order displays a status that indicates where it is in the fulfillment process.

Pending

The order has been started but not completed.

  • The order has not been placed or paid for.
  • Pending orders that remain unchanged for 60 days are automatically removed from the account.

Ordered

The order has been successfully placed.

  • Payment has been submitted or recorded.
  • The order is waiting to move into fulfillment.
  • The Order Summary is available for review.

Processed

The order has been received by the fulfillment team.

  • Payment has been completed.
  • The order is preparing to move through fulfillment.

Fulfilled

The order is actively being worked on by the fulfillment team.

  • Tags and other products are being prepared for shipment.

Shipped

The order has been shipped.

  • This is the final stage of the fulfillment process.
  • The package is on its way to the pet owner's address.

Returned

The order was returned to DocuPet.

  • This is typically due to a mailing or address issue.
  • Additional follow-up may be required before the order can be resent.

Canceled

The order has been cancelled by an administrator.

  • Canceled orders will not move forward through fulfillment.

Complete – No Shipping Required

The order has been completed and does not contain any items that require shipping.

  • Common examples include license-only orders or fees that do not require a physical product.

Reviewing Order Summaries and Receipts

The Order Summary provides a complete breakdown of the transaction, including products purchased, payment details, and fulfillment status.

If a pet owner requests a printed copy of their receipt:

  1. Open the Order Summary.
  2. Click on Reprint Receipt at the top of the page.

A printable receipt will be generated for the pet owner.

Important Notes

  • Pet owners should generally expect to receive shipped orders within 7–10 business days.
  • Order summaries and receipts are automatically emailed to pet owners who have an email address associated with their DocuPet account.
  • The Order History section is the best place to review the progress of an order and answer questions regarding fulfillment or delivery expectations.
