Authoritative Address Tool - Overview

Overview

An Authoritative Address is a residential address within the licensing jurisdiction(s) encompassed by your organization's pet licensing program. These addresses have been provided to DocuPet by your organization through GIS data, prior to launch, and imported into the DocuPet system. These are considered approved/valid addresses, that when added in a Pet Owner account, allow the pet owner to license their pets with your organization.

If your organization issues licenses for multiple jurisdictions, the GIS is broken down by jurisdiction to ensure we place pet owners in the correct jurisdiction to serve the appropriate fees and apply any additional unique licensing logic. The tool within the DocuPet system that stores these authoritative address records is called the Authoritative Address Tool.

Admin Access to the AA Tool

DocuPet allows certain partner administrators to add and edit other users' access to the Authoritative Address Tool in the DocuPet system. Once the DocuPet program has launched, it is the partner organization's responsibility to manage and maintain user access to DocuPet.

How to Use the AA Tool

This tool provides the ability for administrators to search, add, view, edit, validate and delete authoritative addresses, and/or units/suites/apartments associated with them. It also allows the administrators to view pet owners associated with each authoritative address in the system.
