How to Create a Run

How-To:

*It is important to note that only Canvassing Managers can create and assign runs.

1. To start, on the main page, scroll to Canvassing Management and click on Canvassing Runs.

2. When first entering the Canvassing Run Dashboard, select a Jurisdiction (if applicable) for which you wish to create or view Zones.
 

3. Once the desired Jurisdiction drop-downs have been selected, click on the Zone drop-down at the top of the page to select a Zone for which you wish to create a Run. Then click the green “CREATE NEW RUN” button.

  • You can assign multiple runs to the same zone.

4. You will be taken to the Canvassing Run Screen where you will see summary information about the Run and map view of the Zone for visual reference. 

  • You can assign a Canvassing Representative to the run on this screen by selecting one from the drop-down menu.

5. Select “Save” to save the run.

6. You will be taken back to the canvassing run dashboard and should now see the run you just created.

If a Run does not have an assigned Canvassing Representative, the Canvassing Manager may do this at any time by clicking on the dark blue “VIEW” button in the Run’s row in the Canvassing Run Dashboard. Runs may also be reassigned to different Representatives at any time. This might be useful if one Canvassing Representative  started the Run but another one is finishing it. 

Note, that changing a Canvassing Representative in the middle of a Run could affect data compilation depending on how an organization tracks activities and results.
