Pet ID:
This number in brackets is the unique ID created by the DocuPet system. This ID will be on all communications with the Pet Owner. This ID is also a useful reference if you need to contact Administrative Support as it will help our team find the exact account you need assistance with.
Notes:
These are for internal use purposes only - Pet Owner’s cannot see notes added to an account.
Edit:
If there are any changes you’d like to make to this Pet’s information, this is the button you would select to do so.
HomeSafe Code:
This is a unique code generated by the DocuPet system in relation to our 24/7 Lost Pets Program. This code will be on the back of all future DocuPet tags and if this pet were to go missing, the finder would be able to plug in this code on our site to get connected with our team. From there, our HomeSafe team would be able to contact the Pet Owner immediately and get them reunited with their pet as soon as possible.
Status:
This indicates whether or not the Pet is registered to an active account and is eligible for licensing. Pet’s can be switched to an “Inactive” status if they have passed away, get rehomed, or are currently lost.
Name:
This is the registered name of the Pet.
External Identifier:
This is to show the Pet’s previous ID that they originally had within your previous system (Example: Chameleon). These are brought over when we input the historical data from your organization.
Date of Birth:
This isn’t applicable to all partners, but if your organization has discounts for senior pets then you can flag these options on their profile and it will automatically apply during the licensing process. The Pet Owner doesn’t need to know the exact date of birth, this can also be an approximate age.
Animal Type, Breed, Colour:
If your organization licenses multiple types of animals (Example: dogs and cats), this would be the section to highlight what type, breed and colouring this animal is.
Microchip Number:
If this animal has an active microchip, this section is available to input that number. This can be adjusted if necessary at any time.
Gender:
This section is to show what gender the pet is, as well as if the pet has been spayed/neutered.
Veterinarian:
We have inputted your local veterinarians into the system as per the information provided to us during implementation. The Pet Owner’s can select their veterinarian and attach that information to their profile.
Licenses:
This section is where an administrator would check to see if an animal had an active license on their account. From here, you can see the expiration date as well as the available renewal date.
Past Licenses:
This section holds all historical licensing information. Once a new license has been created, the previous will move to this section which can be accessed at any time if necessary.
License Proof Documents:
This isn’t applicable to all organizations but if Pet Owners are required to provide rabies/sterilization documentation, this is where an administrator can view them.
Tags:
This section can show all of the past and current tags that have been provided for this pet.
Add a Pet:
At any time, new pets can be added to a Pet Owner’s profile by selecting this button.
