If your organization allows spay/neuter exemptions, administrators can apply an exemption directly on the pet’s profile.
How to Add a Spay/Neuter Exemption
1. Open the Pet Owner account.
2. Click on Edit next to the pet’s name.
3. Locate the Spay/Neuter (Sterilization) section.
4. Select Yes under "Neuter Exempt".
5. If required, enter an Exemption Expiration Date.
6. Click on Save Pet Details.
The pet's profile information will now reflect that the pet is exempt and show an exemption expiration date (if applicable).
Important
If an expiration date is entered, the exemption will only apply until that date.
Once the expiration date passes, updated sterilization information may be required before licensing can proceed.
If a spay/neuter exemption is applied, intact pets will be permitted to proceed with licensing without providing proof of sterilization.
For organizations that allow spay/neuter exemptions, pets marked as exempt will automatically be offered the sterilized license fee during the online renewal process.
Always follow your organization’s ordinance and documentation requirements when applying exemptions.
