Use Cases/Overview:
A pet can be removed from a Pet Owner's account for multiple reasons. The most common is in the instance that the pet has passed away. We want to make sure that if a pet has passed away, or the Pet Owner no longer has the pet in their care, that the DocuPet system reflects this in order to stop renewal communications from being sent for this pet. This also removes the pet from visibility on the Pet Owner facing account.
How-To:
1. On the main page, click on “Pet Owner Record Search” and type in the first and last name of the pet owner you’re looking for.
2. From there, you’ll click on the pet owner’s name to access their DocuPet profile.
3. On the right hand side, you’ll need to click “Edit” on the pet that you are looking to remove.
4. You will need to click on the “Status” drop down menu and switch the pet from “Active” to “Removed”. Then you’ll need to select a “Removal Reason” and click “Save Pet Details”.
5. Once saved, the pet will show it has been deactivated and renewal communications will no longer be sent out for this pet.
